You are going to take a journey that follows the path of time, not forward back, but back, back through the misty halls of man's existence. There is little we can tell you about this journey, for it is a voyage into the unknown. But we can tell you is that you will be drawn into the eternal battle between the forces of Light and Darkness. Which side will win? That is up to you. Which side is really good and which is evil? That too is up to you to decide. It is believed one cannot survive without the other and for countless generations now one has existed in the shadow of the other, existed in dark hidden places, walking along the fringe of the others consciousness. Now you are about to rush from one existence to the other, Light and Dark will collide, now you will be in their world.
Professor Reynier, of the University of Edinburgh, will be your guide. The Professor is well qualified to take you on this journey having spent many years delving into the Darkness of our souls, the Darkness of our past. Delving deep into forbidden knowledge, revealing those once known as the Elder race, the Vamporic or Vampires. For his life’s work, Reynier has been laughed at, scorned and now discredited. Years ago Reynier had studied at the Sorbonne; in fact it was in Paris that his fascination with the Children of the Night had begun. While doing some research on a paper entitled “The Inner Forces of Man”, Reynier happened upon a dusty long forgotten library Annex that held a wonderful and mysterious collection of books. It was not till afterwards that Reynier realized the library, although obviously had not been visited in long dark years, somehow had the feeling of being regularly used and it’s books loved. He had been driven to take one book, “ The Dark Mirror, a look into the Vamporic Soul” A reason for Existence by Drayle de Sacrix and written in the year 1428AD. Later in his own papers he quoted from the Dark Mirror. Reynier claimed that a Vamporic people walked this earth long before mankind, a tragic forsaken race that came to accept their existence and their eternal excommunication. They were the Elder Race, the Children of the Night that existed in mankind’s shadows, condemned to dance the dance of life to the music of death. The picture Reynier was presenting terrified the higher orders of Academic society, they could not begin to accept Renyier’s claims. But he is finally about to get the evidence he needs to prove they really exist and the proof is on the train.
This story takes on several forms; various events swirling ever close to one conclusion. Germany is invading France and their net is closing around Paris. This train is filled with those that wish to escape the Germans. The Gestapo already has their agents in Paris and they have a long list of those they wish to detain and maybe your name is on that list. Professor Claudette Tousel of the Sorbonne University has her name on that list. The Professor has recently announced her discovery of a virus that she claims attacks and destroys cancer cells. From this she has created a serum that she calls Triphininal BR33. However she made a very big mistake. Professor Tousel in her letter to the World Medical Journal said there were dangers with the Serum. Firstly with little manipulation it can be altered in a hallucinatory drug, the likes of which have never been seen, fairly cheap and easy to create. Secondly she warned that Triphininal BR33 could become Triphininal Cohium, which would be deadly in small amounts. She warned if a drop escaped into the environment, it would kill every life form in a one-mile radius. These two side effects have attracted the attention of both the Gestapo and various Gangsters.
There is another Scientist helping with Tousel on her project, Damien Liethelm. Now Liethelm is a strange man indeed. He works only at night, which fuels the imagination of Tousel’s young assistant Genevieve Galboure. Genevieve finds Liethelm’s book of notes and her fears are realized, she tells Tousel of her findings and Tousel decides the time has come to flee France. The Germans invading, Genevieve’s claims of Damien Liethelm and one other horror that now haunts them, the Sorbonne Slasher.
There have been several nasty murders lately and all the victims were sent a card with a symbol written on it in the previous victims blood. Also all the victims were connected to the Sorbonne University and Tousel’s project of the Triphininal BR33 Serum. Inspector Georges Javier is with the gendarme nationale, investigating these gruesome killings. He is reluctant to talk about the case and will neither confirm nor deny suspicions that Professor Tousel is in some way connected to the murders. Does Inspector Javier suspect Tousel is the murderer? It is known however that Inspector Javier is very worried, since he does have a romantic interest in Genevieve Galboure and Genevieve seems to be leaving the country with Professor Tousel.
An exciting train ride for those that dare to rush into the dark night aboard the Train of the Doomed. A serial killer sitting amongst you, waiting to reach out at you when you least expect it. The Gestapo and Gangsters, and most feared of all, those that would not only take you life but your very soul, those of the Elder Race, Vampires.
